This isn't an answer to your question about Stan's material but here are some numbers I've accumulated:

recent .003" from ACP (no longer available) 110 g/sq meter
old .001" (from CST I think) 104 g/sq meter
.008" from CST (sold as .005") 215 g/sq meter

I'll be interested to see how Stan's material compares to these.
