On the topic of F1L wing, I would like to hear how you put in the dihedral. Previously, I had sliced the leading edge and TE spars from the bottom about half way through -- a vertical cut -- then gently broke/bent the spars. Laying the center of the wing upside down at the height of the dihedral, I dab a teeny bit of thin CA into each crack in the spar.
At the dihedral, my spars are 1/32 x 1/32".
I've had to repair some of the joints following wall bumps. Subsequently, I inserted a small balsa wedge into the crack followed up with a dab of CA.
I'm thinking on the wing that I'm covering today to use a scarf cut for the dihedral. Perhaps it's a little more work but seems to me that it would be stronger.
I would love to hear from other builders.
