Andy,
Since after five months of flying and reducing your weights from 2.2 g to 1.55g, I'd suppose you are hooked on indoor, and have great attitude. Should not there be ONE event that tries to not attract, "the best flyers" as you put it, (they are already available in many classes) but tries to group those who, like you the first time, end up with a 2.2g A6? Do you think that would have any value against discouragement and initial difficulties? (Obviously you weren't too discouraged, so not referring to you.)
