I've agreed to support whatever the final version of Don's proposal turns out to be. I will modify my design to use a 50% stab whether or not that becomes part of the rules. And I'll commit to flying A-6 either under AMA rules or the unofficial rules that are used now. I've given a lot of people as much info as I could about how to build A6 to the right weight - even going so far as giving away a one-off kit at one of our club contests. So at least from this end the support for the event will remain strong.

If rules can not be agreed upon then passing a half hearted A-6 will be
a disaster. No one will fly it and they will stick to the non AMA
version. It will be as popular as "Experimental Autogiro" which was
passed to eliminate winged autogiros yet no one ever flew it yet it is
in the rule books for 20 years. .
