I don't use a hot box. I do wrinkle the paper, water shrink it several times & iron it after it has air dried. I generally do this in the winter when the humidity is low. However, I have done it in the summer, too. All of my planes are several years old & do not have any warping issues or saggy covering. The covering does get slightly looser in higher humidity conditions, but is not a problem.

Let me ask a question of the people who build competitive A6's Do you use a "hot box" or other enclosure or device to keep the humidity low when you cover with condenser or tissue paper?

From the beginning it was a contest event. Any attempt to change the rules will transform the event. I truly do not understand the motivation to change something that is working. If you don't like A6, build something you do like. Make up your own design & fly it. Make up your own event.
