I use a steam iron to iron condenser paper. I put the paper on a flat towel and then iron it flat with the steam turned on. Then I turn the steam off and iron it until it's dry. I don't have problems with it changing much after that. This technique was developed during several years of helping SO kids before the rules were mercifully changed to allow film.

I don't have to do this with film - but I guess everyone knows that.

Let me ask a question of the people who build competitive A6's Do you use a "hot box" or other enclosure or device to keep the humidity low when you cover with condenser or tissue paper?

From the beginning it was a contest event. Any attempt to change the rules will transform the event. I truly do not understand the motivation to change something that is working. If you don't like A6, build something you do like. Make up your own design & fly it. Make up your own event.
