Okay, and to allow plastic (OS) should permit another .176g wood weight (15% more wood) compared with the lightest available condensor paper. Compared with regular weight condensor paper--24% more wood. This will be perceived as a significant advantage over paper cover.

Probably depends on what we mean by "decent A6." Agreed, by today's standards, an "AreSee" modeler won't have what it takes if 4 lb wood is what it takes. In the 70s, I think a shorter, stronger, 2 minute (probably low ceiling) model was considered decent. But I'm sure it didn't take long to raise the bar!

Here's some rough calc. Feel free to correct. Basing this on 32 sq" of wing film, 15 sq" of stab, and 4 sq" of rudder, and weights/in found in table in Files section.

Regular C paper x 51 sq" = .311g
Lightest C paper (not avail) x 51 sq" = .202 g
Lightest veggie bag X 51 sq = .153g
OS film x 51 sq"= .026g
