No such impression here,  no apology necessary.  Someone else thought "we" developed a no-film rule--I was merely refuting such.  If I ever said we "developed" anything, it should have been specifed we were hoping to develop a popular agreement about existing rules sets.

I don't recall refering to humidity problems.  I have no dog in this hunt. 
 
 IMO, the number of newcomers who continue  is going to have nothing, zero to do with whether A6s are covered with film, paper, or gold leaf.
