Sorry for breaking this up into two emails.
A second way to is to hold the strip of wood and sand or use a razor blade
to shape edge. This will take some practice to get right. This is the way I
used to build SO models and Penny Planes. I found that helped me to draw in
profile the shape that you want to make on the leading edge. From this you
just sand until you reach your desired shape.
