The easiest way is to use 2 small rectangles of soft foam about 1/2" long. Each of these is stuck to the top of a small balsa block. The blocks are mounted about 1/8" off the centreline of the blastplate to accomodate the motorstick. The tops of the blocks are slightly angled so the underside of the foam grips the motorstick without squeezing/crushing. The foam I used was about 1/4" thick.
