TTOMA has booked the Ward Rec Center for the Peachstate Indoor Champs to be held April 10 and 11, 2010. This will be a National Indoor Cup Contest. Preliminary plans are to run FAC type events on Saturday and lightweight duration events on Sunday. The flying schedule hasn't been totally worked out yet. Any suggestions are welcome.
The Smyrna, TN gang will probably attend on Saturday which will make for a busy day. Sunday will probably be pretty quiet since there aren't many people flying lightweight duration around here these days.
The flying site is small, but the air is usually good and the ceiling height just squeaks under the Cat 1 limit. It's a prefab metal building. Hangups happen but aren't usually a huge problem. It's a dream site for Cat 1 gliders if you can deal with the fairly tight dimensions. Here are some pics and video from the 2009 event:
