Yes. I have a F1M meter, with 125mm of 0,4mm wire, for a maximum of
100g*cm. I recall that the torque goes to 4th power, so 0,3mm wire would
give about one third of the stiffness. Sounds about right, and better
yet, 0.3mm wire is readily available here in Europe.
