Wood Stripper

I was told on Sunday that to make a lightweight model to replace my Iskarus Bulldog that I need a stripper to get some smaller strip wood. Is there a detailed drawing or picture to be able to make a simple one. Also were do I get thinner strip wood than available from flitehook or sams models here in the UK.
