thanks Mark. I just booked on Delta after getting off the phone with them.
They seemed to be ok with the planes, and at least I got the name of a
person so I can have that as collateral. I needed to get the ticket before
it gets more expensive.

My box is 46 inches in total linear dimensions. The Delta limit was 45, so I
think I can sneak by the extra inch.
