The main thing to avoid is a connection that puts you on a regional airline small cigar jet. The overhead bins are not big enough for a typical F1d box, and ya gotta hope they let you improvise. But sometimes you can't know what kind of jet a "connection" will be. I've had good luck flying to Newark, NJ (EWR Liberty) a couple times, if that's how you're getting to Lakehurst. As for brand reputation, seems they change all the time. Maybe someone knows the current model-friendly airline. I'll predict "none."
