To me it seems like the biggest problem with getting novices involved with indoor freeflight, is lack of opportunities for flying.
It's is hard to get others involved in freeflight when they have to drive 3 hours one way, just to fly a airplane that may or may not fly well.
More opportunities to fly means more time to perfect flying skills. It gives people something too look forward to, a reason to build more, and too try different things.
