Hi all, Im relatively new here. My name is Mark Crabtree, I live in Greenwood, Indiana. I got to this group at John Kagans suggestion after emailing him at AMA with questions. I attended my first contest last year at the armory in Illinois. I found most there to be very amiable and attentive to my interest and questions. Most notably, LeRoy Cordes and Tom Sova. Tom even snail mailed a couple of plans later. My 8 year old son went with me and he was very fascinated. He brought his stopwatch and enjoyed some unofficial timing. He's very well behaved anyway, but I did tighten up on him a bit before we got there. My current interest is MiniStick, PennyPlane, and scale. I think the biggest issue I have is a local flying site. Right now I can only test flight half circles in my basement, that much handling is hard on these huh? There are alot of different classes, but I dont find it overwhelming, just need some place to test. So if there is anyone close to Indianappolis, Indiana that has a place to fly, let me know. I hope to have something for the Nats next year. I enjoy this forum, and find it informative. LeRoy, you were right about Ron Williams book, I got it, and its great!
