Hi,
    Check out this glider website:

http://www.amaglider.vze.com

Look at the Simple Simon.  It's great for some that is interested and new to gliders.   My boy is 22 now and that is the model he started with when he was around 6.

Cheers,

Kurt

My son was fascinated by some models we saw this past weekend at a swap meet. They were tissue covered planes with rubber band motors. He is 6 and I think those would be a bit too fragile for him at this point. So, I was thinking hand launched gliders for now.

I was hoping I could find someone near Nashville, TN that could assist us in getting started. I don't mind driving a bit to get familiar with nomenclature, basic building principles, what the various competition classes are, etc. I think we just need a little boost to get us on the right path.

Any help I can get would be great.

Thanks,

Thad
