Foolproof? Even a well formed wire bearing is not foolproof. They all require either a couple minutes up to a couple hours of tweaking. If you can get old INAVs, issue 101 shows an "in air" method and drawings. INAV 113, p 25 shows a jig and method.

Easier to just get more wire, IMO.
