Maybe that's another reason Southwest is taking over the airline world.

Have seen larger containers as carryon.

            Here's an update to my travel box problem/solution. The trunk that I

had on hand had a combined l+w+h of 63" which is 1" more than Delta

will take for the standard $15 checked baggage charge. I sent them an

email asking what the charge would be for a trunk measuring 63" and was

told $175!



I have on order a steel clad trunk with recessed wheels on one end that

measures exactly 62" according to the literature. This trunk costs

about $150 from Rose Trunk (model RST100) and ships free. I'll post
