USIC - P-24 event

Any of you gents build/fly in the P-24 mass launch? I'm planning on
coming up to the '09 version of the USIC activities, but this year, I'd
like to fly in an event or two as opposed to watching from the side
lines like I did a couple of years back. I had thought about building a
P-24 Condor for the mass launch. I was a bit unhappy about the motor
stick size I see on the plan. Can the motor stick be laminated up out
of 4 pieces of 1/16"? That ought to stiffen it just a bit. Any comments?
