Fred,

Some quick detail- Beth and Joe did many illustration projects
including the "Borrowers" children's series, Reader's Digest and a
host of others. Both taught at Bryn Mawr for generations and still
taught art on occaision. Beth was a humble, sweet soul who had a
great sense of humor. She was always supportive of Joe (94 yrs young)
in his flying endeavors and frequented many gatherings. She would
draw, knit or just enjoy conversation. Both Joe and Beth were
extremely fond of each other as well as the world around them.

talked with both Joe and Beth Krush a few years ago at some of the
early USICs. Joe's 777 Mini-Stick was a good design that I flew and
Beth illustrated the first Winning Indoor Designs book. I knew only
a little about their work in art and illustration. I tried to get my
son Andy to talk with them and get their advice since his interests
were similar. So far as I know, he never talked with them, but he
has another children's book just released anyway. Maybe advice from
both Krushes would have helped him even more.

wife Beth has passed away. Until recently she attended most of the
indoor flying events held at Lakehurst hanger 1 and allowed Joe to
reside at the SOTS (Scale Old Timers Society) as president of the
club. She was a fine artist and had provided NFFS with lots of art
work, and sketches for the various news letters and digests. I
speak for the club in sending my sincere condolences to Joe.
