Hi all -

Apologies for the delay in getting this together, work has kept me
quite busy. I've uploaded a draft letter to Van Dover with comments
regarding USIC 09. The comments were largely provided by a couple of
folks (thanks guys), and I just reworked them a bit.

http://f1.grp. yahoofs.com/ v1/oIKTSTcAl- kPMbubL2NoddSfTb ZDStbD3Cd_ nZv5k3aldvf9Dwxa 8mGXDyi49LpphAaB Y2_5C9HN3sSaNYv_ R_mNk6jJZ11slYE/ USIC%202009% 20-%20Working% 20File%20/ Draft%20USIC% 20Comments% 20-%20Feb% 2011%202009. doc

There were also comments about the somewhat confusing nature of the
AMA forms with official events and non-ama events on different forms.
I did not include these comments because from personal experience I
can tell you that decision and those forms are designed by AMA, and
Kagan and I took quite a thumping last year when we asked for changes
(some of the control line folks just went freaking bonkers - a story
for another time).

In addition, there were some comments regarding the future (2010 and
beyond) scheduling of events - spreading out the glider events,
evening out the time allotted to heavies/light weights etc. I left
these comments off the letter so as not to confuse the issues and keep
the focus on this years event.

Please review the letter. If you have edits, please make them
directly to the letter and post them as another file in the USIC folder.

Lastly - I have not included signatories on the letter as of yet. Is
there someone who would like to volunteer to take the lead on
communicating with Van as he is not on this group? If no one else
wants the gig, I'll do it, but I'm not sure I am the best man for the
job.

If this has all been sorted out and I've just been out of the loop -
great, and sorry again for the delay in putting this together.

Best regards,

Tony
