Yeah, that's the way it was this time - we all covered the airline fare
over $400 ourselves. Still waiting for the rest of the bill from the
AMA for the "pre-contest". This trip was bit more expensive than
previous ones.

At least got the results required to keep that much funding. Heaven
forbid we drop below the results and participation thresholds. I can't
imagine how any program is supposed to claw its way back into funding
after that.

It was interesting to note that the teams from almost every other
country had sponsors. That might be a good way out of a lot of our
woes. Financial independance buys a lot (pun intended).

And the sponsors weren't all model airplane companies. In fact, I
didn't see any that were.

So, who's up for recuiting? Calling all Indoor PR reps!
