Congratulations to Organizer Ljubomir Radosavljevic, Contest Director
Vladimir Zivanovic, the FAI Jury (Gerdhard Wöbbeking, Ian Kaynes, and
Srdjan Pelagic), all the time keepers, and everyone else involved.
Job well done.

The site was challenging, but very flyable – a great world
championship venue. Over the years a few people have expressed that
a WC site should be very tall, but this WC and the one at West Baden
Indiana should prove that shorter halls are perfectly legitimate for
a WC.

The contest was run with a firm hand, but there was reasonable
flexibility when warranted (e.g. the round schedule and proxy
steering). There was plenty of training time, and the International
Open was a great way to get the fliers and timers up to speed.

The city of Belgrade was a neat place to visit, eat, and watch the
scenery.

I hope that I get the opportunity to come back for the 2010 WC
(That's the one "downside" of having a thriving Junior program:
there are now many more top contenders for the team)

Great World Champs!
