I saw Dave Brown at the AMA FF Nats a couple weeks ago at Muncie. He was in
a golf cart chatting with a friend. I decided not to confront him but now I
regret that decision. As I understand it Brown was the major force behind
this lame decision. The story I heard was that Brown's personal mandate is
to REDUCE the number of AMA members engaged in FAI team selection,
supposedly because it is such a drain on AMA funds. Unbelievable.

"What a shame on you" was my reply to Dave Mathewson after meeting him
at the FAC Nats at Genesco this July. I had asked him just how come the
third person could NOT be added to the team and his reply was that "they
were just following the rules". Its time the rules were changed so that
this sort of s--- does not happen again. Those two AMA members who flew for
us were not given the chance to compete on an even playing field with the
rest of the world. Nasty letters should be sent to those envolved in this
decision.
