Whenever the subject of rules, and changing them, arises then before long
the matter of processing difficulties is raised and I don't know why. It
may be because there really aren't enough people in our ranks who can read a
rule or press the buttons on a calculator but I think it is more a
resistance to change. The reason I say this is because in well over 60
years of modelling I doubt if I have seen models processed more than about
half a dozen times. Occasionally in top-of-the-range events the top three
will be given a look-see but in general the modelling world works on trust.
There was one time when I was CD when I had a protest on the legality of the
engine in one of the power jobs. The owner disappeared whilst I was getting
a jury together and was not seen on a flying field again for about a year;
however that is a very rare sort of occurrence!

I would say don't avoid a necessary rule by worrying about processing.
Trouble is not caused y processing but by wishy-washy rules drafted by
incompetent people which leave the competitors wondering what is intended
and what can and what cannot be done.
