Canard Help

Does anybody have some tip on canards.We have built one but it is not
flying well at all.
1)What should wing and stab rib Profiles be
2)Wear should CG be

The first plane we tried would climb at all so I had them build a
stab with a more profile to help lift the nose up. This did help
but we have a long way to go to get it competitive.
