My guess is that our original indoor fliers in UK originated the name Andrews rib after Pete Andrews kindly donated his winning model to Laurie Barr after winning the 1972 W/C at Cardington.

Our version of the Kagan loop is what we call the 'top hat' method of fixing the drive arm to the prop shaft and I have shown it on my plans of my 35 cm model and F1D, as published in the literature.
