on my latest mechanisms I built I wound 4 turns of 0.004 wire around
0.006 mandrell when you squeeze the ends left about 0.030 long the
spring opens up then inserted over shaft and releasing it grabs the
shaft the shaft is reduced in dia to about 0.010 at this point but
the end is left 0.014 at very end the spring grabs this step and
holds things well and strong I reduced the shaft dia using sink edm
since i have that avaiiable but i did things like that in dremel and
some creativity how to hold wire in v-block and turn it....
