One thing that I forgot to mention: I also tried making hinges off kevlar
(or rather polyethylene, which is rather similar) wrapping around the
carbon and paper tubes. At first they seemed flimsier, but I suppose I did
not use enough glue to set them in. Seems as I need to glue the wrapping
to the carbon with CA - celluloid glue does not stick enough. I suppose
using kevlar hinges would be lighter.
