Wing Construction

I am hoping to build Alan Cohen's Minislick and wonder how the devil
people do the curved wingtips. I know how to wet and warp them around a
template but what makes them keep their shape after everything is dried
and released from the table ? There seems to be nothing to hold the
shape and I don't know quite what to do about it.
