Yes, the Harlan SO prop bearing does NOT allow you to easily relace the
motor shaft. The rear flange is not split as it is the other Harlan
bearing. So if you want to change props you have to cut the existing
motor shaft, install a new one and a new prop, and bend it over.
The Geauga bearing has a split rear end, but it is tricky to remove the
prop shaft. He doesn't make them any more. They were a masterpiece of
machining - milled out of Aluminum. They were a bit heavy at one tenth
of a gram.
Looks like our team needs to make up some new prop assemblies.
