Torque Meter Question

Thanks to all for their input. It was very helpful.

I think we will change the element to 0.020" music wire for the larger
rubber we are winding.

Also, the safety tips were important reminders. I have worried about
what would happen if the rear collar holding the wire element let
loose. It uses a clamp arrangement in a brass cylinder, tightened by a
set screw. The brass collar surrounds a larger diameter piece of steel
rod around which the rear end of the 0.0015" music wire element is
wrapped and soldered.
