An excellent description of the S.O. program but as everyone knows
its not going to change its spots. So as Mark says, let's avoid this
part and stay with flying and techniques and such. Almost every day
something interesting appears here and over the years I have learned
a lot and I'm sure that new people to the hobby sometimes must think
they've "died and gone to heaven" when they find this net (and Don
S's before).

Indoor modelers are somewhat few in number and are scattered all
around the country, and the world, and for the most part only have
face to face contact with a few others. This net and others like it
provide a huge boost to the sport and help to keep interest high and
hopefully catch a few new people every now and then. It keeps the
sport from being static as one is constantly hearing about new things
to try and helps one to keep from trying to re-invent the wheel. Its
nice to find out ahead of time that your "super earth shaking
revelation" probably won't work, at least not as well as you'd like.
If a bunch of other people have already been there -- well, nuff
said. What's really great, though, is that if a question is thrown
out, some very knowledgeable person will jump right in and provide an
answer; often several people.

Keep up the good work Mark
