We found advantage with certain larger blades because of chord mostly.

I was just pointing out a slight error in what Chris was saying. This subject has come up before relating to taking a large prop such as the 12" Ikara and cutting the middle out to achieve larger blade area. Now that the prop size has gone up to 24cm I don't believe there would be the necessity for this sort of modification. Both the Ikara SO prop and the P30 props seem to have ample blade area.
