I use a woodworkers scraper (or make one from a piece of old hand saw
blade). Stiffer and easier on the hand than a razor blade. Once you
learn to sharpen one it's easy.

A thought on trimming, on my Dennydarts, it they want to hang in climb I
twist in some side thrust to tighten the circle.
