I also tend to use large cross sections for F1L but I think that .055 is as large as I have used, I think Aki must have made a mistake or typo if he says his loops are 10 cm long as the approximate conversion is 2.5 cm to the inch and I think a 4 inch motor is short unless he has discovered something we don't know about yet.
