I've been using Formula 2001 for a number of years and leave it on my
motors. After all, it is a rubber "protectant." I've seen no negative effect
on the rubber or knots. I like the fact that it doesn't spatter on the
interior surfaces of my scale models. Those ugly splotches are virtually
impossible to remove.
