The questioner wanted to know how to tie with thread to minimize rubber used
in the knot. When I make motors for the class kids, or even for quick test
flights, I use the double reverse overhand knot. Saliva is not a good idea
with kids for two reasons. I don't want to get sick and the mothers would
object. One kid made me take the motor in the rest room and wash it before he
would put it on his plane. ;-)
