I did this experiment on one model. Both Teflon washers rotated together.
I.E. The marks stayed aligned. The prop spar was hard balsa & the thrust bearing
was aluminum. I only tried the experiment a few times. I am not sure I believe
my own experiment, so I sometimes still use two washers.
