A general rule of thumb that seems to work well is to schedule major
regional contests no closer to each other than every other weekend. The
outdoor FF community does a pretty good job of this. Indoor meets would
benefit from this approach as well.

For 2008 I have already booked the Colorado Springs 2-day for the same
weekend, March 25-26. It would be great if the Kent State, WNYFFS and MW
States Champs CDs would plan accordingly and not be on consecutive (or
  worse--the same) weekends.

MW, Flint, Peach, WNYFFS and Kent CDs, will you please contact me? I can
still move our March 08 dates if needed, but I have to do it now.
Otherwise
  MMM will keep March 25-26.

Bob, I think the poor attendance might have stemmed from the contest
being held between Kent and Champaign. Also with the Peach State and
Flint in the same month it has been really hard to draw a large group
  to any one contest.
  Better luck in the future,
  Nick
