LeRoy:
If you are slicing O-rings from plastic tubing, the sharp edges can be
removed by sliding the O-ring onto a piece of music wire held
horizontally and passing a lighted match under the O-ring. If you do
it just right, the plastic will shrink just enough to get rid of the
rough/sharp edges. You must be careful, however, that you do not get
the O-ring too hot because it will deform and become useless and, in
extreme cases, burn.
