Agreed, which is why I am in support of DLG. Anything to get more
people throwing. I just hoped it would never emerge as a superior
method to the old way! I can admit I have some selfish foundation in
those feelings.

I am really beginning to think that by 2010 JLG will have gone the
way of the carved from a solid block indoor duration prop. The
exciting part will be the transition to it, which is happening now.
How many of the bigger contests will be won by DLG instead of a JLG
this year?

Certainly some (maybe me) will try to hold on to the old method, and
remain competitive for a period of time. But eventually the discus
method will be refined by more and more people to the point that the
JLG guys will either join them or be beaten by them.
