First, I assume you are a Science Olympiad Wright Stuff Flyer and have
to use a prop like the Ikara. Correct?
Total flight time? Lots of turns left at flight end? You can also
try different rubber sizes, try larger with more back off to keep from
augering into the ceiling.
Like someone else said, I've seldom seen an Ikara prop with too much
pitch unless you cut a VERY large one down to the correct size for
this year.
But, if you still want/need to change the pitch, check out the files
section of the our Yahoo group site, there's a nice video showing how
to change the pitch using heat there called
PlasticPropPitchChanging.wmv It works well, is permanent, and can
also be done with a small torch.
