Balloon Launch Glider for Middle School Science Olympiad

Two days ago I received a phone call asking me to help with the Science
Olympiad Balloon Launch Glider event at the local middle school that my kids
attended long ago.

Does anyone have a plan that you have already tried? Or not yet tried?

Thanks both to Bob Clemens and to the teacher responsible for the Science
Olympiad program, I have the event rules.

For the high school event, I have downloaded Bill Gowen's "Little Square-07"
plan. The high school here has never competed in the Wright Stuff event, but
the middle school kids and I have tried the rubber powered model several
times. The balloon launch event is new to me, and Wright Stuff events are
always new to the students.
