wombat,

Left hand props are different. The torque rolls the plane to the right,
instead of to the left. The tendency is then for the plane to turn right,
instead of left. The prop slipstream goes the other direction. If the right
handed prop slipstream pushes the fin into a left turn, the left handed prop will
turn it right. All the asymmetrical trims you use on a right handed prop
model must be reversed on the model with a left handed prop. Side thrust, wing
twist and rudder must be reversed. With everything reversed, the model
should fly the same, except turning in the opposite direction. You can't just
put a lefty on a righty and expect everything to be the same.

Anyone care to comment on the relation between flying with a left hand prop
and thermalling?
