Making can props with the students today, think I got the idea of the
angle needed for the proper pitch (hope so). I had made a couple
simple pitch gages to set the blades, one was "backwards" as I
followed the sketch I'd downloaded, one was correct - I asked why and
got the question "does it matter if I make the prop so it has to
rotate clockwise instead ?". I really couldn't think of a good
reason, any suggestions. Seems if the model was trimmed for that
backwards prop, it should fly the same as "normal"
Had a couple DD's mark II with me, we fly in the gym between classes,
teacher commented that the boys had to make something that flew that
good. last year we started with that model, then went to SO stuff,
probably should have done that this year.
