You can use one in the pusher mode as is, but

I have a canard pusher model that I use for demonstration flying. It
uses a
small Ikara which works fine so long as I remember to wind backwards
with my
20:1 Wilder winder.

Several years ago I whacked together a canard pusher plane from one
of my student's WS monoplanes
from the previous year. At the time, they were using the grey Peck
prop, so I just reversed it so I could wind normally (and still use
our torque meter). This flew ok at first, but stalled badly in the
second half of the flight. Do you have any suggestions how to deal
with this problem?
