Yes, part II was only going to be my miscellaneous comments about
Kibbie Dome Annual. I posted pt.I from the road (Western Wyoming but
needed to get to Eastern Nebraska) and left off a couple events.
They are:

_HLG_(2 flight total)
Tim Chang 1:28
Ed Berray 1:18

_Bostonian_
Mike Palrang 4:23
Lou Young 3:37
John Lenderman 2:32

_Ornithopter_
Herb Robbins 5:11

Comments: Attendance was down from previous year, but it's
predictably hard to trump the good hype from 2005 "Battle by
Seattle", which drew several Europeans, and the 05 F1d Team Finals.

I still learn so much more about indoor modeling thanks to a format
that allows me to either concentrate on one event for the whole
contest, or split attention to whatever events you please, and put up
official flights whenever you are good and ready, unlike a dedicated
time slot format for each event. The building space is so dang big
that the heavies and lightweights merely fly on opposite sides of the
Dome, and don't interfere with each other.

Awards!!
Kibbie Dome awards are not trophies, but useful modeling products.
Offered in this case were 7 or 8 rolls of Y2K film for winners to
choose, along with carving knives, wire cutters, surgical forceps,
fine scissors, building block jigs, o-ring tubing, etc. I shamelessly
took one roll of Y2K film, and shame*fully* took a second roll.
This alone was worth the trip.

Special mention-- Chris Doughty is an exceptionally talented teen
who exhibited a wonderful 2" span, fully functional ornithopter,
along with a creative Ministick, AROG, and I'm not sure what else.
Chris has no help except what he finds on the Internet. He and
father apparently transported all models by *motorcycle* from
Ontario, Canada. (Chris is a member of this group, and hopefully
has a story about model/motorcycle transportation.)
